Dr. Jenifer Prosperi, PhD

Dr. Prosperi grew up in Cincinnati, OH. As the daughter of a science teacher and a college professor, her destiny was in academics! She went to Miami University (OH) and received a BA in Microbiology. There, she fell in love with research and went on to get a PhD in Integrated Biomedical Science at The Ohio State University. She joined Dr. Fredika Robertson's breast cancer lab, and started volunteering at The James Cancer Hospital and with The Komen Foundation. Her passion and dedication for breast cancer research and education has not wavered since then. Her postdoctoral studies were performed at University of Chicago with Dr. Kathy Goss, and were focused on the APC tumor suppressor and developing targeted therapies for breast cancer. She has been at IUSM-SB and UND since 2012. In her free time, she can be found running, cheering for the Buckeyes, and spending time at the lake with her family.
